OUR INITIATIVES
Manufacturing
We meticulously select our manufacturing partners, giving preference to those who use zero-discharge washing units, practice rainwater harvesting, and implement LED lighting to reduce carbon emissions in their facilities.
Lenzing- Ecovero
We carefully select our fabric partners to ensure they use biodegradable materials from renewable sources. LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers, for instance, use at least 50% less water and produce at least 50% less CO2 than standard viscose fibers. Made from sustainably sourced wood, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibers are crafted from natural, renewable resources that come from responsibly managed forests.
Packaging
House of Anita Dongre is the first major Indian fashion house to launch a comprehensive plastic waste management program, partnering with Lucro Plastecycle to recycle locally-sourced plastic into sustainable packaging.
Respun
We have partnered with Respun, a company that recycles our fabric waste into fibers and yarns to create new products. Respun specializes in recycling end-of-use garments and textiles, preventing them from ending up in landfills. They transform these materials into items such as fibers, yarns, rugs, mats, felts, packing blankets, insulation, and thermal packaging.
Canopy
We are partnered with NGO Canopy to protect forests in our packaging and fabric choices and are part of both the CanopyStyle and Pack4Good initiatives.
OUR COMMUNITY TAILORING UNITS
As part of our ongoing efforts to economically empower women in the heartlands of India, we strive to bring work back to the villages, enabling them to work in the comfort of their own communities through our rural tailoring units.
